The system uses Carbon data from UK government papers and gives instant calculations allowing the user to see the cost and CO2 emissions in real time. Offset options allow for either a specific CO2 amount or a specific price to be offset. There's planes, trains and automobiles for every kind of offsetting you can think of – utility, vehicle, commuting and flights.

The technical framework for this tool was built in-house by GSBA.

It comprises a bespoke modular framework which allows for flexibility in adding and modifying calculation (offset) types. Javascript technologies allow for greater UX and instant calculations. It is fast loading and lightweight without compromising aesthetics and functionality and makes use of HTML 5 & CSS3 technologies.
